Getting your catalog into Product Genius is the first thing to do — and on Shopify, it mostly does itself. Here's what happens, and what's worth a quick check.
What happens automatically
When you install the app, Product Genius imports your live catalog straight from Shopify — titles, descriptions, images, prices, and options. No CSVs, no field mapping, no developer work. Changing your theme or store name later? Nothing to reinstall; Product Genius carries on unaffected.
Step by step
Install the app
Add Product Genius from the Shopify App Store. The catalog import starts on its own the moment the app connects.
Give the AI 24–48 hours
Before going live, the AI studies your products and store, and our QA team verifies everything looks right. For about 1% of installs something unique needs special attention — if that's you, we'll reach out.
Review your products
Content Genius → Products lists everything eligible to appear in the feed. Use Hide from shopper on anything that shouldn't show up.
Not on Shopify?
Once you're in
Nice work — your products are in. Next, pull in the reviews you already have so the AI has real customer voices to work with, then head over to Content Genius to connect Instagram and YouTube.
